Bloop! Camp Arctic and 7:00
Huh?
We are your silly, sexy, friendly neighborhood Bloopies! Our raison d'etre is to get people talking, playing, dancing, learning, and stretching their boundaries. Why? We believe that the human connections we make while playing on the playa are invaluable resources to draw on when faced with the world of bills and traffic tickets and cranky bosses. Our motto is "The Future is Better Together" and we mean it! If we can't rely on each other, if we can't get it together, our collective future is fucked. So we aim to invoke the spirit of fun and joy and understanding in everyone as a means toward creating a more sane and compassionate world. Peace through silliness, in other words. We are the Missionaries of Mirth!

So c'mon over to Bloop!s 65' parachute and join in the fun. Flop into one of our beanbags and relax for a while. Have some tea. Get your toenails painted. Groove to some live African Beats or get (and give!) a massage. We love to hang out with good company and share our passions. And don't forget to look for our swarm of Bloop! Bees as they buzz across the playa!

Camp Do Nothing 7:30 and Habitat
Huh?
We are a group of mostly veteran burners/fire performers that have worked long and hard on the playa year after year to "DO NOTHING" this year. Stop by & say hi, maybe cook us a meal or come dip our fire tools for us, maybe carry them out to the playa and be our lackey for a little while. Try your hand at acrobalancing or the hoops we'll have laying around. We're sure there will be plenty of lounge space for you to be a "slacker" too! We're here for ya, man.

Hippocampus Desert and 4:30
Huh?
Back for our tenth year in one incarnation or another, Hippocampus sets up again to bring you some memory making moments (that's what the hippocampus part of the brain helps with - get it?) out on the playa. Hearsilla the art car is dead, but stop by our French cafe - Cafe Hippocamus each morning for cofee and goodies. Or return in the afternoon for the now famous Spiritual Accounting Office and take account of your past year to see if you're due a refund on your spiritual account - our Spiritual Accountants are waiting. Only about 1/4 of the camp is from seattle, but it's the 1/4 that does the work!

Hushville Coral Reef and 7:00
Huh?
Hushville is an aural oasis in a sea of chaos. We are an open village and everyone is welcome to camp with us, provided they abide by three rules: 1) No generators of any kind at any time; 2) No amplified sound; 3) Clean up after yourself. Burning Man 2001 was the first year for Hushville and it was a resounding success, with nearly 200 campers who were actually able to get a bit of sleep at night. By 2006 we were up to 400 people, so who knows what this year will be like.

Submitting Camp Info
Getting your camp or village listed on this page is very easy, but there are a few things you have to do!

1. First and foremost, please remember that this is for registered theme camps and villages only. And by "registered" I mean registered for placement with Burning Man. If you did not fill out their extensive online application to receive placement, then you are not a registered theme camp. Sorry, but there is simply no way I can track every single pod of campers.
2. Also, this is for Seattle-based camps or at least camps that have a lot of members from Seattle.
3. Gather the relevant information. Look at the listings above and you'll see what I'm after. You should include the name, a brief description, a web address and a contact email address.
4. Review that description you just put together in the previous step and make sure it's not too long. Seriously. One paragraph is sufficient... if you have more to say, direct people to your site.
5. Do you have a small graphic to include with your description? If so, have it ready.
6. Send all this good stuff to info@burningmanseattle.com.
7. I update the site about once a week, so please be patient.
